Bash has the vision to design and build the most remarkable omni-channel experience across Africa. To do this we need to develop a world-class approach to customer acquisition, conversion, and retention.
 
As our Community Manager, you will be responsible for engaging with and building the brand’s online communities. You will collaborate with internal and external teams in the creation of content, be responsible for publishing across the relevant social media platforms, review metrics to build reports, identify key people of influence and brands to partner with and craft responses to customers’ feedback.
 

📂So what does a day in your life at Bash look like

    • Maintain and execute the social media channel calendars, ensuring accurate and timely publication of planned communication.
    • Respond to customers' feedback and social comments in a timely manner, ensuring a consistent brand tone of voice is maintained across our social media channels.
    • Support the development and implementation of our influencer program.
    • Plan and execute initiatives and programs aimed at building our online community and presence. 
    • Work with influencers, partners and staff to ensure on-brand representation across social platforms.
    • Identify potential reputational brand risks emanating from social media conversations; escalating to relevant internal teams and manage crisis communication interventions
    • Monitor community feedback and share insights with the broader business. 
    • Participate in content ideation and brainstorming sessions to deliver world-class digital experiences.
    • Constantly monitor social media channels for conversations, hashtags and branded keywords to gauge trends and conversations that could present leveraging opportunities for brand visibility.
    • Obsess about our customers to create content and start conversations that will resonate. 

🧰 Skills you already have:

    • 3+ years experience in a communications or PR role.
    • Relevant Marketing / Communication degree or equivalent.
    • Obsession with social media and digital content; tuned into platform changes, culture, trends and news.
    • Experience in online reputation management practices (advantageous).
    • Copywriting experience is a plus and the ability to vet creative based on the audience and channel.
    • Good customer service, interpersonal skills and social nature.
    • Proficient in the use of social media management tools, comms and project management tools such as Slack, Monday etc.
    • Good judgement, proactivity, responsiveness and problem-solving skills.
