We are looking for a senior candidate with expertise developing strategies for inclusive, high-growth communities to join our team as Director of Community overseeing a range of communities we manage. The ideal candidate will have experience with strategic community growth in the enterprise software space including architectures for participation, community insights for business growth, advocacy and engagement, moderation and standards, and KPI setting and reporting – and must keep a close pulse on trends shaping inclusive, high-growth communities. They will be forward-thinking about scaling the community strategyand will also bring experience managing teams, stellar client (internal or agency) relationships, and great references.

 

The Director of Community develops and oversees strategies for multiple communities in the data, cloud native, and open source space. They will build and/or manage a community team, and collaborate with our marketing and communications team to achieve shared goals. This is a remote, full-time position that requires occasional travel for meetings and events.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with clients and sponsors and support their day-to-day needs, ensuring timely delivery of services and strengthening trust
  • Develop and oversee strategies to help our communities and clients meet their goals, achieve their objectives, and measure what we did
  • Lead in the organization of each community and create processes/programs that enable community members to interact with peers
  • Generate community insights that contribute to business and community growth
  • Oversee community standards and policies to ensure communities are inclusive and welcoming
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Opportunities to represent Constantia and our communities at conferences and events

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in developing and implementing community management strategies including programs for advocacy, engagement, and content creation
  • Strong strategic thinker, with an ability to lead the development of community strategies for clients that are distinctive, relevant, creative, and measurable
  • Demonstrated experience and leadership in delivering strategic community management programs to advance an organization's mission and goals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with an aptitude in fostering long-term relationships
  • Domain knowledge of the enterprise tech industry (open source a major plus)
  • Agency and in-house experience is preferred
